You've invested in a great wakesurf board — now let's make it last. With a little care, your board can stay in top shape for years of riding.
Rinse After Every Session
Always rinse your board with fresh water after riding, especially in lake or river water. This prevents buildup of algae, minerals, and debris that can degrade the finish over time.
Dry Before Storing
Never store a wet board in a bag or enclosed space. Moisture trapped inside causes delamination and foam breakdown. Let it air dry completely before packing it away.
Keep It Out of Direct Sun
UV rays are one of the biggest enemies of wakesurf boards. Don't leave your board sitting in direct sun on a boat or dock for extended periods — the heat can warp the shape and bleach the graphic.
Store Flat or Upright
Store your board flat on a rack or standing upright on its tail. Never store it leaning against a wall on its rail for extended periods — this can cause the board to develop a warp over time.
Use a Board Bag
A padded board bag protects your board from dings and UV exposure during transport and storage. Our Wake & Surf Co. Gear Bag is built for exactly this.
Fix Dings Quickly
Small dings and cracks let water into the foam core, which leads to delamination. Pick up a ding repair kit and fix small damage as soon as you notice it.
Wax for Grip
If your board doesn't have a full EVA traction pad, apply surf wax to the standing area for grip. Use a temperature-appropriate wax (warm water vs. cool water) for the best hold. Check out our Wake & Surf Co. Board Wax.
